Job Summary
The County Hotel & Hudson bar restaurant are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy General Manager to support the overall operations of the esteemed County Hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hotel experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression within a dynamic and customer-focused environment. The Deputy General Manager will assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing the hotel team, and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in developing and implementing operational strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and optimise organisational efficiency.
  • Supervise and support heads of department, ensuring high levels of performance and professionalism.
  • Oversee guest services to ensure an exceptional experience for all visitors, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Manage human resources functions including recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and staff development programmes.
  • Coordinate with various departments such as front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor financial performance, control budgets, and optimise revenue opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, leadership development, and continuous improvement.
  • Proactive in F&B, compliance with EHO stanfards, regular stocktaking & strategies to increase revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Support marketing initiatives to promote the property’s services and maximise occupancy rates.

Experience

  • Proven managerial experience within the hotel or hospitality industry is essential.
  • Previous hotel experience demonstrating leadership capabilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in human resources management within a hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding guest services with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to management.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with Opera Cloud software
