Full job description

Due to our continued expansion, we are looking to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced, conscientious and customer focused assistant manager. Experience in the ice cream/cafe/food/hospitality industry is essential. The assistant manager will assist with the daily operations of our Gelateria, where we serve artisan gelato, fresh italian sandwiches, pizza, pasta and italian pastries.

The successful candidate will be available to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays. They will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to motivate staff, work well under pressure and ensure that all the duties within the gelateria are executed with customer service in mind.

The assistant managers responsibilites include;

  • Assisting with managing the day-to-day operations of the gelateria
  • Working closely with/train and supervise staff
  • Monitor productivity
  • Monitor and maintain inventory
  • Provide feedback to ensure staff are providing the best experience possible to customers

Assistant Manager Requirements

  • Experience working in the food or hospitality industry
  • Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines.
  • Excellent communication skills. Good maths skills - additional consideration will be given to those with additional and/or higher education qualifications
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Certificate. Additional training will be provided.
  • Exemplary organizational skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Communication and customer service skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.5 – 45 per week
