Breakfast Chef

Location: Channels Bar & Brasserie
Hours: 45 hours per week
Pay: £13.20 per hour + generous share of TRONC

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our friendly kitchen team at our independent restaurant. If you take pride in preparing high-quality breakfast dishes and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Working in our modern open kitchen, you'll be preparing and serving breakfast before moving into a busy lunch service. Our lunch offering features a varied à la carte menu, including freshly prepared sandwiches alongside a bespoke selection of seasonal dishes.

Working Hours

  • 45 hours per week.
  • General working pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm.
  • Flexibility is essential, as you'll be required to provide cover for other chefs during holidays and periods of absence, which may include occasional weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Assist with the preparation and service of our lunch menu, including sandwiches and bespoke à la carte dishes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented in line with company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen at all times.
  • Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and minimising waste.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver an excellent dining experience.
  • Adhere to all food safety and health & safety regulations.
  • Support other kitchen sections when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef or Chef in a busy kitchen.
  • Passion for producing fresh, high-quality food with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-focused approach.
  • Flexibility to cover additional shifts, including occasional weekends.
