Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant environment, engaging with customers and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Handle customer orders efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas, in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times.
  • Manage cash register operations accurately, including taking payments and giving change.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, such as organising ingredients or packaging items.
  • Uphold company policies on food safety, hygiene, and customer service standards consistently.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer-facing role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
  • Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
  • Basic skills in food preparation and handling ingredients are preferred.
  • Good time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
