About the Role

As Head Barista, you will lead our specialty coffee side.

This is a hands-on leadership position combining excellent coffee skills, calm service under pressure, and the ability to train, motivate, and elevate a barista team in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining consistency during high-volume services, developing barista standards, and supporting management in improving systems and workflows.

This role is ideal for someone who loves being on the machine, thrives during busy brunch services, and takes pride in building strong, confident teams.

What You’ll Do Coffee & Quality

  • Deliver consistently high-quality specialty coffee at volume
  • Dial in espresso and maintain extraction standards throughout service
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and efficient workflow behind the bar
  • Ensure coffee presentation and service standards are upheld at all times

Leadership & Training

  • Train, coach, and develop baristas to a consistent, high standard
  • Lead by example during peak services
  • Support onboarding and skill development for new starters
  • Foster a positive, accountable team culture

Operations

  • Support stock control, ordering, and wastage reduction
  • Ensure equipment is cared for and maintained
  • Uphold all health, safety, and food hygiene standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Senior or Head Barista in a high-volume specialty coffee environment
  • Strong espresso knowledge and confidence dialing in
  • Experience training and leading barista teams
  • Calm, organised, and reliable under pressure
  • A hospitality-first attitude and strong communication skills
  • Weekend availability (brunch service is our busiest time)
