Laboratory Scientist
To complete the required product testing in a safe and compliant way to ensure the analysis generates
In this role you will:
Sample, test, report and validate final products, intermediates, raw materials and in-process samples to defined procedures-
Consistently operate to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratories Practices (GLP) standards to ensure compliant product testingMaintain and calibrate a wide range of analytical equipment to ensure continual production of accurate and precise resultsUtilise theoretical and practical knowledge to aid interpretation of results and troubleshootingDemonstrate proficiency in routine laboratory information systems to interpret and report resultsWork in a compliant manner to ensure the safety of yourself, others and the protection of the environmentIdentify, participate and implement Continuous Improvements opportunitiesProficient in all aspects of laboratory investigations and lab note completionComplete all actions arising from internal/external audit commitmentsManage 5S and lab chemicals/consumable levels to ensure the area is kept to the required standard

Technical knowledge and experience of analytical science-
Relevant experience of working without close supervisionExperience of participation in inter-departmental teams working on quality related problemsAbility to trouble shoot problem analytical methods/ instrumentation and implement solutionsKnowledge of GMP, GLP and Regulatory issuesHigh motivation and an ability to operate within a teamAbility to escalate issues to Team Leader as appropriateCommunication and Influencing SkillsKnowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) including GQMPs and GQPsKnowledge of data handling laboratory systemsGood knowledge of relevant analytical techniques
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
HND Level or equivalent in appropriate discipline-
Degree in appropriate scientific discipline
