We are an exciting, dynamic, growing company based in South West Oxfordshire offering a wide range of outsourced business support services to SMEs locally.

We are looking for a highly professional, enthusiastic and approachable Finance Manager to support the Managing Director and manage our small finance team. You will be the primary contact for clients, and play a key part in onboarding and business development. The role is working from home, but with regular weekly visits to clients across Oxfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take ownership of their role and make a real difference to our growing business.

The role:

In this broad, interesting and challenging finance role you will be leading the finance team to provide complete finance management, bookkeeping and payroll services to a wide range of SME clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Line management and mentoring of the finance team

· Management of the finance team’s workload, ensuring client service levels are met

· Client relationship management including onboarding new clients

· Attending networking events and building and developing quality professional relationships

· Taking a proactive approach to identifying and resolving any issues

· Management accounts preparation

· VAT returns and bank reconciliations

· Processing income, receipts and expenses

· Preparing and processing monthly payment runs

· Running payroll for various clients

· Keeping GDPR and data protection in mind in day-to-day responsibilities

· Any ad-hoc finance tasks that may arise

- Full driving licence due to traveling to clients across Oxfordshire

Due to the nature of our business, the role will be extremely varied and will involve additional administrative tasks.

The person:

We are looking for someone with a strong finance background who has experience of all the above, and is confident working with clients, e.g. in practice. You may have previously worked as a Finance Manager or similar role with line management responsibilities. Ideally you will be used to dealing with a number of clients from different sectors. Client relationship management is key to the success of this role, so you will have a strong customer service ethos.

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are essential. You should be familiar with a range of accounting and payroll software packages – SAGE and Xero in particular. You will also need a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
