KWL is looking for experienced Ground Workers to join our growing team.

• Salary £34,534pa
• Basic 40 hours a week, working Monday to Friday
• 21 days holiday (excluding 8 bank holidays) rising to 26 days after five years

Candidate Requirements:

• Ground works experience to repair / maintain and renew all types of ground works .
• Experience of working with drawings / measurements / concrete ramps / access ramps.
• Full valid driving licence.
• Ability to use smartphones, tablets etc.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as a team.
• You will be reliable with excellent attendance.
• You will have to be clean shaven at all times, to ensure your health and safety and to allow protective face masks to be effective. (Unless exempt)

Key Responsibilities

• To work to specifications, drawings and work sheets
• To carry out bricklaying and groundwork work in numerous locations each day with remote supervision. Location of work are determined by workload and will vary daily. It will be necessary to travel using a company vehicle as required.
• To maintain a thorough technical knowledge and understanding of Company’s maintenance, specifications or project requirements, the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, C.O.S.H.H. Regulations along with Codes of Practice and other relevant legislation within the Company’s Safety Policy
• To discuss work related bricklaying and Groundwork issues directly with customers on site with a professional and diplomatic approach in order to determine their exact requirements.
• To accurately complete all relevant internal and external documentation such as timesheets, vehicle inspection sheets, material requisitions, job completion sheets etc to ensure legal requirements are adhered to and accurate records are maintained in an auditable system. This may also involve using technology such as handheld computers.
• To drive and load a vehicle in compliance with all road traffic legislation, regulations and codes of practice in relation to safe loading and storage of materials, parking, speed limits etc.
• To undertake daily and weekly checks of tyres, oil levels etc. and report defects. To ensure the vehicle is in good and safe working condition.
