What can you expect?

We are seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join our highly regarded Clinical Negligence team, supporting Samantha Critchley, in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a team known for its technical expertise and client-focused approach, working on a broad range of complex and sensitive clinical negligence matters.

You will work closely with experienced lawyers on high-value claims, gaining exposure to both claimant work and strategic litigation, while developing your technical and client-handling skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively run own caseload as well as assisting and supporting senior fee earners on varied and complex clinical negligence claims.
• Support the investigation and progression of claims, including obtaining medical records, instructing experts, and analysing evidence.
• Draft legal documents including letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, and settlement documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare client briefings and case summaries.
• Liaise with clients, counsel, medical experts, and other stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Assist with case management, including compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Accurate and efficient recording of time and effective diary management
• Contribute to team knowledge, know-how, and business development initiatives where appropriate

Experience and Knowledge

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ level).
• Completion of a training seat in Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, or a closely related litigation area is desirable.
• Strong academic background and excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• A genuine interest in clinical negligence work and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive and commercially aware approach.
