Horsfield Building Services Ltd are looking to recruit several Commercial Gas Engineers.
You will be working 42.5 hours per week, overtime available and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £33,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience, Plus Company Van and Fuel Card. Responsibilities for the Commercial Gas Engineer will include: Service, maintenance and breakdown of commercial gas, catering and solid fuel heating systems Installs work required at times Carry out planned and reactive maintenance

  • Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules, frequencies and industry best practices
  • Identify any defects found and provide parts list and estimated timescales to complete the defects
  • Participating in the call out rota.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all colleagues and customers
  • Carry out installation, repairs, maintenance and plan operational duties, working with the various systems and reporting as requested
  • Likely to be involved with appliances such as large/ small scale plant rooms, centralised heating boilers, gas heaters etc
  • Assessing, dismantling, repairing or replacing relevant parts
  • Support the field service team and upkeep and maintain the various internal operational processes
  • Turn hand to other maintenance needs as and when required
  • Experience working within commercial environments

Undertake PPM activity Complete paperwork including production of technical and situational reports
Undertake all other maintenance works within remit
Participate in out of hours works, including overtime & call out
What we are looking for in our ideal Commercial Gas Engineer: The right person for this role will have a solid background in Commercial gas and heating as well as all relevant commercial gas qualifications NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent. CODNCO1, COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, TCP1A, CCN1, CENWAT, COMKAT and applicable domestic qualifications. OFTEC, LPG, ASHP, UNVENTED and Solar/Renewable qualifications are desirable but not essential Excellent gas knowledge of current gas legislation and regulations.
comprehensive technical skills along with extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectification
Good all-round knowledge of heating systems with controls/BMS knowledge desirable
Good plumbing skills Full driving license Understanding of Health and Safety and working to best practice
