Join a business where what you do truly matters.

At Sentry Fire Safety Group, we don’t just manufacture doors, we help protect people, homes, and communities. As a leading UK manufacturer of certified fire and security doorsets, we operate in some of the most highly regulated, safety-critical environments across social housing, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. We’re on a strong growth journey, investing in our people, technology, and manufacturing capability across our sites, creating real opportunities to develop, progress, and be part of a business that takes pride in doing things the right way.

Whether you're in our commercial team, on the shop floor, in operations, or in a support function, you’ll play a vital role in delivering quality, compliance, and safety, every single day.

We are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Commercial team.

About the Role

This is a high-impact, field-based role focused on driving growth across key markets including housing associations, local authorities, commercial customers and their contractor networks.

You’ll take ownership of a defined territory and sales pipeline, building relationships with key decision-makers and converting opportunities into long-term business. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to customers, showcasing Sentry’s value proposition, providing technical insight, and ensuring our solutions meet their evolving compliance and safety requirements.

Working closely with internal teams, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality tenders, proposals, and customer outcomes, while maintaining accurate pipeline reporting and maximising revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing a structured sales pipeline within your region
  • Identifying, targeting, and converting new business opportunities
  • Building strong relationships and representing Sentry Fire Safety Group at networking events and industry engagements
  • Delivering presentations and CPDs to promote our products and expertise
  • Preparing and supporting tenders, proposals, and quotations
  • Securing opportunities through procurement frameworks and portals
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting
  • Collaborating with internal sales, estimating, and operational teams
  • Providing first-line technical support and product guidance to customers

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience in a Business Development or field-based sales role
  • Has a strong track record of winning new business and exceeding targets
  • Has experience managing pipelines, tenders, and customer relationships
  • Is a strong communicator with excellent presentation and networking skills
  • Can quickly build credibility and act as a trusted advisor to customers
  • Is highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • Has experience with CRM systems and structured sales processes
  • Ideally has knowledge of construction products, passive fire protection, or fire doors, although this is not essential.

What We Offer

  • £40,000 – £50,000 per annum
  • Bonus with OTE £60,000 – £80,000
  • Car allowance
  • Pension
  • Private health care
  • Opportunity to join a growing, ambitious business with genuine career progression
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment

If you want to be part of a business where what you do truly matters, we’d love to hear from you!

Apply now and take the next step in your career with Sentry Fire Safety Group and build your future with a company where responsibility, craftsmanship, and purpose go hand in hand.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
