Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to join our team at Little Berries Café, a brand-new play café designed for young children and their families.

As a Café & Play Assistant, you will be the face of our café, providing excellent customer service while helping to create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment. This role involves serving food and drinks, supporting families during their visit, and assisting within the children’s play area when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere
  • Take food and drink orders efficiently and accurately
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including coffee, tea, and soft drinks
  • Serve food to tables and ensure presentation is to a high standard
  • Keep the café, seating areas, and play spaces clean, tidy, and organised
  • Handle cash and card payments responsibly
  • Respond to customer queries and ensure a positive experience for all guests
  • Work closely with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Follow food hygiene and health & safety regulations at all times
  • Assist families within the play area, if required during busy periods.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting is desirable
