Café Manager - Wolfox‘s Workshop Lab at LOAFT, Brighton

Are you a passionate and experienced coffee professional looking for an exciting new opportunity? Wolfox Speciality Coffee is seeking a Café Manager to lead the team at our innovative venue, Wolfox Workshops Lab at LOAFT, located in vibrant Brighton.

Wolfox‘s Workshop Lab at LOAFT is more than just a café – it’s a creative space where speciality coffee, natural wine evenings, and a design-focused retail shop come together. We’re dedicated to crafting exceptional experiences for our guests, whether they’re enjoying a perfectly brewed coffee, exploring design, or attending one of our events.

The Role

As Café Manager, you will take ownership of the venue, ensuring seamless daily operations while delivering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This role requires a skilled leader who understands the nuances of speciality coffee and is eager to contribute to an innovative concept that blends hospitality, retail, and event hosting.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Lead and mentor a team of baristas and front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure the consistent preparation and presentation of speciality coffee.
  • Manage and coordinate natural wine evenings and integrate the design retail shop into the overall guest experience.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and aesthetically pleasing environment.
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet performance and financial targets.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a speciality coffee environment (management experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of speciality coffee and enthusiasm for natural wines.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • A creative and entrepreneurial mindset, with an eye for design and retail integration.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, including hosting evening events.
  • Passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
