Dead Wax Social is a vibrant pub located in the heart of the Laines. We are majorily an events based pub mixing social community events and late night music events. We are seeking an energetic and dynamic GM to lead our organiation with passion and strategic vision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, drive sales growth, and foster a vibrant team environment. Your leadership will ensure that all aspects of the business run smoothly, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to manage all departments, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and values.
• Oversee daily operations, including sales, compliance, customer service, and administrative functions.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue, improve operational efficiency, and expand market presence.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate a diverse team of managers and staff to achieve high performance levels.
• Cultivate a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and employee engagement.
• Monitor financial performance through budgeting, sales analysis, and expense control to meet or exceed targets.
• Maintain excellent communication with staff, customers and vendors to foster strong relationships.

Skills

• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with diverse customer bases and teams.
• Proven management experience with a strong background in managing teams within retail or sales environments.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide staff toward shared objectives.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively convey expectations and feedback.
• Strong organisational skills coupled with effective time management to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of merchandising strategies and sales management techniques to optimise product presentation and revenue streams.
• Administrative experience with proficiency in managing schedules, reports, and operational documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to handle phone etiquette professionally while managing multiple channels of communication.
• Experience managing events is desirable
• Strong knowledge of welfare in a pub environment
