Full job description

Job Summary - Barista and front of house assistant. Part time NMW.

We are looking for someone who can work Saturdays and weekdays. Must be able to work 9-2 on Saturdays, Mondays and Fridays.
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role involves various responsibilities, including serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness in the café environment. A passion for coffee and food service is a plus, as is experience with POS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and serve beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front of house area, including dining tables, counters, and equipment.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Experience as a barista or in coffee preparation is a plus.

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Closed every Sunday.
  • Shift patterns would fall between these hours:
  • Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri: 9am – 5pm
  • Sat: 9am – 2pm (early finish!)
