Full job description

We are seeking a Cafe chef with baking experience to join our team in a bustling cafe setting. The ideal candidate will be able to perform all daily operations of the cafe kitchen , ensuring excellent customer service and a smooth bruching experience. Professional Chef experience is neccessary, also baking experience would be ideal to make cakes, muffins, daily specials etc.

*Duties*

- control of food preparation and kitchen tasks to maintain efficient service

- stock takes, stock rotation and food safety

- menu development and costings

- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders and serving food and beverages

- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance customer experience

- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the cafe area

- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations at all times

- Support the team in various restaurant duties as required

*Skills*

- Experience in coffee & barista skills not neccessary but beneficial.

- Experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous

- Ability to provide help across different tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency in upselling techniques to increase sales

- Basic understanding of culinary practices and food preparation

- Knowledge of Cafe operations and customer service principles

- Competency in basic maths for handling transactions accurately

- Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
