WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• We are looking for an efficient, tidy person to prepare and pack our meat products.
• Experience in working in a food business for example in a cafe, in catering, on a hot or cold food counter, or as a cook, butcher, food preparation assistant or as a kitchen porter is required.
• A Safe Food Handling Certificate or similar food hygiene qualification is very helpful..

WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES

• The job holder must be able to neatly pack meat products (e.g. sausages, burgers, mince, chicken) cleanly and hygienically using our packing equipment.
• The job holder must maintain a clean work station, and clear up and wash up all equipment and dishes at the end of their shift.
• The job may also involve picking and packing orders for despatch.
• The job will also involved cleaning butchery equipment, cleaning cold stores, cleaning butchery areas, packing areas and customer areas.

Job Responsibilities

• Packing and labelling meat products using a vacuum packer and a labelling machine
• The role is physically active and requires manual handling
• The role will include lifting boxes of stock (up to 15kg)
• The role will also include cleaning the packing areas, refrigerated areas, food prep areas, butchery areas and cold stores.

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (required)

Experience:

• catering, kitchen, cafe, deli counter, food preparation or butchery experience: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• safe food handling certificate (preferred)

Work authorisation:

• United Kingdom (required)

Work Location: In person at our premises near Killyleagh/Crossgar, County Down.

Pay: Up to £13.65 per hour
