Full job description

Applications are invited for the part-time permanent position of:

Café Assistant

Applicants must be able to work:

Saturday’s – 8.30am – 2.30pm

Plus, additional weekday working as required, sickness & holiday cover

Your role will be, to assist the café manager to run the Hatch Café facility in West End Parish Centre which will include:

1. Ensuring the café area is kept clean and tidy, including washing up and clearing tables.

2. Cash handling and cashing up

3. Preparing light snacks, sandwiches, paninis etc as required.

4. To assist with catering requirements of Parish Council events.

5. To comply with all Health and Safety regulations both personal and to other users of the Parish Council facilities,

7. To undertake any training that may be required by the Parish Council.

8. To carry out other duties that may be reasonably required by the Café Manager

Essential

- Ability to assist with the efficient and safe running of the café

- Ability to prepare and serve food in accordance with appropriate legislation

- Enthusiasm and interest in the job

- Ability to work without supervision

- Ability to deal sensitively with the general public

- Ability to implement Health and Safety guideline.

Desirable

- Food Hygiene Level 2 Certification

- Food Allergen Certification

- Experience of working in a café.

- Experience of working as part of a team

- Able to multitask

Pay: £12.84 per hour

Work Location: In person
