The Role

As Food & Beverage Assistant you will serve customer orders in the Restaurant, Bar, Café or any areas within Food & Beverage. Meet and greet guests being polite, friendly, enthusiastic. Show guests to a table, you will deliver coffee, drinks or food to tables, designated desks, office, or lounge areas. You will deliver orders to the correct table or office area and clean any spillages or table areas that are no longer being used by a customer.

You will serve to our members in our bar and roof terrace, support with rotation of stock, and being a part of all Food & Beverage within the complex, including conferences, meetings, functions, and events. Be attentive to guest needs, offering extra drinks. You will understand and be passionate with the values and vision of Sópers House.

Duties include:

· Ensure that the tables are set correctly depending on the service time.

· Deliver a friendly, efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests, anticipating their needs, to leave them with a positive experience.

· Collect food from the kitchen and present to guests.

· Ensure that menus are correct, neat, and tidy. Request for new copies of the menu from the manager if they are marked or do not look presentable.

· Develop and maintain expert knowledge of coffee, drinks and food and recommend clients about new food & beverages on the menu, with an understanding of what ingredients this contains with.

· To follow all specs and standards of service on drinks/food service.

· All orders Food & Beverage orders can be placed through an application on a smart phone or tablet, so orders will be delivered throughout all 3 levels within the building, as well as the Restaurant, bar, or Café area.

· Handle payments from members/guests during service, to ensure that the correct itemised bill is presented, and payment is received and processed according to departmental standards.

· Take client orders, receive payment, provide customer receipts, and obtain Company copy receipts for billing purposes.

· Maintain a clean and sanitised working environment.

· Always maintain high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of food safety and health and safety.

· Assist other departments with ad-hoc duties, as and when required.

· Attend staff meetings and briefings as and when required.

General: Dress code is professional attire and will be required to be worn at all times. Uniform will be provided.

Pay: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
