Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, ensuring cleanliness and organisation in the café, and providing exceptional service to enhance the customer experience.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
  • Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering queries.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
  • Assist in food preparation as required, including pastries and light snacks.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment.

Qualifications

  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure efficiency during peak hours.
  • Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
  • A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers is crucial for success in this role.
