Swim Coordinator - PaddlePod

We are recruiting for someone to take on a lead role in Coordinating the lessons here at PaddlePod. This role will be a varied and rewarding role. There will be a mix of teaching, lessons organising, liaising with parents, talking with our learners and working alongside our teaching and facility team.

Your primary role will be to facilitate staff on shift in the venue [café, lifeguard, swim teachers] and to mentor and develop team members.

You will be responsible for the operational performance or our baby, toddler and pre-school and school aged + swimming classes, and be accountable for the overall performance and growth of the swim school. As well as running successful customer retention programmes, you will be expected to work closely with our marketing, teaching and support teams to ensure the demands of our customer base and the business are not only met, but exceeded.

You will establish and maintain high-standards across the business to ensure that we provide a first-class experience to not only our customers but our staff also. As part of this, you will need to engage, influence and motivate the teaching team and work collaboratively with the wider learning & development team to mentor and develop team members.

Key Responsibilities

· Key holder

· Facilitate staff on shift in whole venue [café, lifeguard, swim teachers]

· Be responsible for the venue and any incidents, customer queries etc.

· Be responsible for the Swim Teaching staff who are on your shift regularly.

· Support swimming lessons and facilitate class moves liaise with parents and address any concerns/questions.

· Cover reception and answer incoming calls

· Take responsibility for classes numbers, growth, identify quiet classes and respond,

create social media post with swim staff

· Report to line manager monthly to share information regarding the above.

Hours

We operate 7 days a week and our timetable includes evening classes. This demands flexibility and the individual is expected to work to the demands of the business.

37 hours per week – which will include evenings and weekends

Experience/Qualifications

  • You must hold either STA Award or Swim England Level 2 qualification and Baby and Pre School qualification
  • 2years + experience teaching learn to swim (baby and pre school)
  • Lifeguard or NRASTAC or STA Safety Award Course
  • Safeguarding training
  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, safety standards, and first aid procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both children and parents
  • Experience mentoring and developing a staff team
  • A friendly, professional attitude
  • Driving Licence
  • DBS Check
  • Experience managing a team of staff

Schedule for the successful applicant is as follows:

Pay: £33,000.00-£36,500.00 per year
