Cardiac Physiologist
Meriden Hospital
37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to £44,500.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
The Meriden Hospital in Coventry is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Cardiac Physiologist to join their team of staff in the Cardiology department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Perform and interpret a wide range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including resting ECGs, Holter monitoring, event recorders, and blood pressure monitoring.
- Carry out and report on exercise tolerance tests (ETTs), tilt table testing, and other functional assessments.
- Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and right heart studies.
- Monitor and record intra-cardiac pressures and waveforms during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Conduct pacemaker, ICD, and CRT device checks and follow-ups in accordance with current guidelines.
- Analyse device data and provide expert interpretation to guide clinical decisions.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Current knowledge of a range of clinical specialties and developments in clinical practice.
- Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
- A degree in Clinical physiology or equivalent / ONC / BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics.
- Device or Echocardiography accreditation (BHRS/BHRE/BSE)
