Full job description

Live-In Carer (Experienced) - Roles available Nationwide

Earn up to £153 per day (£1,071 per week) | Double pay on Bank Holidays | Enhanced night pay

Are you looking for rewarding live-in care work with consistent 2–3 week placements across the UK?

Applicants must already hold a valid Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.

Join Consultus Care & Nursing and provide exceptional, person-centred care to clients in their own homes. With over 60 years of experience and a CQC ‘Good’ rating, we’re a family-led company dedicated to supporting both our clients and our carers.

As one of the UK’s longest-established live-in care providers, we are proud of our reputation for delivering high-quality live-in care that enables clients to remain safely and comfortably at home.

We are currently recruiting live-in carers for ongoing placements supporting multiple clients across the region.

This is a live-in role requiring carers to stay in a client’s home for placements typically lasting 2–3 weeks at a time before taking a break. Applicants must be comfortable with the live-in nature of this role.

All new carers attend a comprehensive 1-week induction programme at our award-winning training centre in Tonbridge (accommodation provided).

Work is available across England, Wales and Scotland:

This is not a fixed-location role. Carers must be prepared to work across multiple counties depending on client needs. While preferences can be noted, flexibility is essential as you will support different clients in different areas

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each client’s needs
  • Support clients with daily activities, promoting independence and dignity
  • Ensure clients’ safety, wellbeing, and comfort at all times
  • Provide peace of mind to clients’ families through clear communication and compassionate care
  • Assist with light housekeeping, hygiene, and nutritious meal preparation
  • Accurately report, record, and maintain care records
  • Support clients with medication and liaise with healthcare professionals as needed
  • Collaborate with Care Consultants and fellow carers to ensure continuity of care
  • Monitor and record clients’ physical and emotional wellbeing
  • Adapt to clients’ changing needs and undertake additional duties as required
  • Complete all mandatory and ongoing training provided by Consultus Care

Requirements

  • Previous live-in care experience is desirable but not essential — full training provided.
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care
  • Confidence working independently within a client’s home environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to undertake live-in placements lasting 2–3 weeks at a time
  • Flexibility to travel and work across multiple counties
  • Commitment to attending a 1-week induction programme in Tonbridge (accommodation included)
  • A valid and existing Right to Work in the UK
  • A UK driving licence is desirable

Why Join Us?

  • £120–£153 per day (£840–£1,071 per week depending on placement)
  • Double pay on Bank Holidays
  • Enhanced night payments where applicable
  • Private room within the client’s home with Wi-Fi access
  • UK travel expenses reimbursed for travel to and from your client’s home
  • Carefully matched live-in placements
  • Award-winning training at our Tonbridge centre
  • Three nights’ free accommodation during induction
  • Supportive, family-led management team
  • Referral scheme
