About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable, proactive and customer‑focused team member who has experience of working in a commercial kitchen, within our well established children's indoor soft play centre. While the main focus of this role is food preparation and duties in our (5 star hygiene rated!) kitchen, you’ll also play an important part in supporting the wider play centre operations

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, can switch between kitchen duties and customer service tasks with ease, like being part of a friendly, supportive team – this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen (primary focus)

  • Preparing food in line with our menu and food safety standards
  • Operating safely within a commercial kitchen environment
  • Ensuring excellent hygiene practices are maintained at all times
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas

Café & Customer Service

  • Serving customers at the café counter
  • Preparing hot and cold drinks
  • Clearing tables and keeping the café clean and welcoming
  • Providing friendly and efficient service at all times

Reception & Centre Support

  • Assisting with checking in customers at reception during busy periods
  • Answering customer queries and directing visitors
  • Helping maintain cleanliness across the play centre as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen (required)
  • Food hygiene knowledge or certificates (Level 2 preferred)
  • Friendly, confident customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexibly across different areas of the centre
  • A team player with a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Reliability and willingness to work weekdays and weekends

What We Offer

  • A fun, friendly and supportive working environment
  • Training provided across all areas of the centre
  • Opportunities to develop your skills and responsibilities
  • Free lunch, discounted food, staff perks and free parking

You must be able to work shifts at weekends, during school and bank holidays, as this is when our centre is at it's busiest. In addition to weekends, we also have weekday shifts available.

Our staff are able to gain a variety of experience, giving them a springboard into their career by working in different areas of our family business.
