Job Summary

Term time only role

Lower Darwen Primary - £12.71 PH working 10 hours per week.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 2 hours per day

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our lunchtime service runs smoothly, delivering high-quality food service while maintaining the standards.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food for Lunchtime service, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
  • Ensure timely delivery of meals and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas.
  • Support dietary needs by understanding menu items and assisting students with their selections.
  • Maintain inventory of catering supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Experience in food preparation, catering, or banquet services is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
