Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial management activities, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise advanced accounting software and contribute to the financial health of the organisation. The position involves working closely with various departments, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and review accounts up to trial balance stage
  • Assist with month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and recharges
  • Support the production of monthly management accounts and variance analysis
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Update and develop management reporting packs, progressing towards ownership for assigned areas
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of group cashflow forecasts

About You

Essential

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant role or similar
  • Produce operational KPI’s around stock, scrappage, yield loss
  • Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to provide insight and interpretation of financial data
  • Ambition to progress and develop within a growing business

Desirable

  • Experience using SAP Business One
  • Experience of trade finance, letters of credit, f/x hedging
  • Exposure to audits and statutory reporting processes

Pay: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
