About Us
At Nexis Property, we are redefining what modern property management looks like by combining technology, service and accountability to deliver an exceptional experience for both landlords and tenants.
With a growing portfolio across Manchester, Birmingham and London, we pride ourselves on doing things properly. That means proactive communication, transparent reporting and a culture built on care, ownership and high standards.
We are now looking for an experienced Chinese speaking Property Manager to join our Manchester office and take full ownership of a defined portfolio of apartments.
This role will involve working closely with a large number of Chinese speaking landlords and clients, so fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is essential.
The Role
As a Property Manager, you will act as the dedicated point of contact for both landlords and tenants, managing every stage of the tenancy lifecycle. This includes onboarding, renewals, maintenance coordination, compliance, inspections, arrears support and tenancy exits.
You will take full ownership of your portfolio, ensuring every property is compliant, well maintained and delivering strong value for landlords, while also creating a positive and professional experience for tenants.
A key part of this role will be communicating confidently and professionally with Chinese speaking landlords and clients, ensuring they receive clear updates, accurate information and a high standard of service throughout the management of their property.
This is an office based role in the heart of Manchester, working closely with our Lettings, Maintenance and Finance teams to ensure a smooth and consistent service across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for landlords and tenants within your portfolio.
- Communicate effectively with Chinese speaking landlords and clients in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
- Oversee the full tenancy lifecycle from move in through to move out.
- Coordinate move ins and move outs, ensuring everything is prepared and managed correctly.
- Log and manage maintenance requests, liaising with contractors and tracking progress through to completion.
- Ensure compliance is maintained across gas safety, EICR, PAT testing, smoke and CO alarms, damp and mould checks, and any other required safety obligations.
- Conduct regular property inspections and provide landlords with clear, detailed reports.
- Monitor rent arrears and support the escalation or legal process where required.
- Maintain accurate tenancy, landlord, tenant and compliance records within the property management system.
- Work closely with the Lettings team to minimise void periods and support quicker turnaround times.
- Provide landlords with regular updates on repairs, arrears, tenancy performance and any key matters affecting their property.
- Take a proactive approach to resolving issues before they escalate into complaints.
- Support wider operational standards across the property management department.
What We Are Looking For
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is essential.
- Previous experience in residential property management, ideally within agency, PBSA, BTR or a similar environment.
- A good understanding of tenancy legislation, property compliance and safety requirements.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage a busy workload.
- Strong communication skills with a confident, professional and proactive approach.
- The ability to prioritise effectively and manage a defined portfolio independently.
- A strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards.
- Experience using Reapit, Goodlord, Fixflo or similar systems would be desirable, but is not essential.
What You Will Get
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- City centre office at 361 Deansgate, Manchester.
- Regular team socials and company incentives.
- The opportunity to join a growing business at an exciting stage of development.
- Clear opportunities to progress as Nexis continues to expand.
