The Kingsmills Hotel Group operates two of Inverness’ leading luxury hotels — the 4-star Kingsmills Hotel and the 5-star Ness Walk — with an exciting new 72-bedroom city-centre hotel opening in Summer 2027. Each property offers a destination experience, combining luxury accommodation, exceptional food and beverage, and extensive conference and events facilities.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientated Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team. The successful candidate will assist the Finance Team with tasks as listed below, but not limited to. This is a great opportunity to join a small, supportive, team in a fast-paced finance environment.

About The Role

Based at the Kingsmills Hotel and working across all properties, this role will report directly to the Finance Director.

This position requires good time-management, accuracy and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Sales Invoicing
  • Posting of payments to Sales Ledger
  • Revenue audit
  • Petty Cash posting
  • Ad-hoc reports/duties as requested/required

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Part-time Finance Assistant, who has a high level of attention to detail.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within hospitality.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Confident using Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between properties, within Inverness, would be preferable but not essential.
  • Essential software skills
  • Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Accounting software
  • Desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct
  • Knowledge of hotel accounting
