Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Key Holder/Sales Assistant to join our retail team. This role involves supporting store operations, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to sales growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for retail. As a key holder, you will play a vital role in opening and closing the store, ensuring smooth daily operations, and fostering a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, providing exceptional service at all times
  • Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures as a key holder
  • Utilise social media management skills to promote products and engage with customers online
  • Upsell products and services to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Maintain merchandising standards by organising displays and ensuring products are well-presented
  • Handle phone enquiries professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
  • Assist with stock management, including inventory checks and replenishment of shelves
  • Support in organising promotional events or campaigns to attract new customers
  • Ensure the store remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards

Experience

  • Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for all duties.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
  • Organisational skills to manage time effectively during busy periods
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining excellent customer service standards
