Here at Peak Staycations by Host & Stay, we’re looking for a hardworking, driven, and passionate candidate to join our team as we get set for further growth in 2024 into 2025, helping our owners to maintain their high-quality properties, and to ensure our guests receive the very best customer service whilst staying with us, and this role is invaluable to help us do that.
The role of the Housekeeping Operations Manager is to successfully oversee the unit’s housekeeping operation and team on a daily basis.
The Housekeeping Operations Manager directs and coordinates the daily operations of a housekeeping services unit to ensure our properties and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
You will be responsible for the customer experience and reputation of Host and Stay by effectively managing the housekeeping team, equipment, resources, and third-party suppliers ensuring the housekeeping operation is in accordance with the client service level agreement and company standards & procedures.
In addition, after successful completion of your probation period, you will be enrolled in our Annual Bonus scheme with a potential bonus of £4,000 - paid quartley in arrears.
To be considered for this role you MUST have:
- A full UK Driving Licence
- Good team spirit.
- An ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Efficient communication, analytic and decision making skills
- Fantastic organisational skills
- Ability to coach others to improve performance through sharing knowledge of performance and results.
- Previous experience of managing a team.
- Previous experience in a customer service environment.
And Day to Day? …….. You will be responsible for:
- Ensure the smooth, efficient, and professional operation of housekeeping daily.
- Be engaged with recruitment by meeting, inducting, and training all new housekeepers in line with our standards.
- Managing absence, performance, capability, and the wellbeing of the housekeeping team.
- Inspect all new on boarding properties with Host and Stay to ensure all relevant information is collected and all health and safety elements are completed.
- Manage warehouse resources to ensure property stock levels and supplies are ordered in line with business needs.
- Listen and record feedback from the team and turn it into a learning opportunity and/or action to continually improve our housekeeping service.
- Ensure procedures, systems and checks are completed to ensure the high standards expected are being met daily.
- Allocate tasks daily for housekeepers and ensure all rotas are created 14 days in advance.
- All laundry bags and consumables are prepared and checked for 4pm for the following days check-ins.
- All changeovers are completed in line with our daily check-in times daily.
- Collaborate with the other departments within the organisation, guest services, maintenance team and owner’s department, along with the relevant external agencies.
- Arrange emergency repairs and maintenance of the properties as required.
- Inspect properties to ensure that hygiene and health and safety regulations are met.
- Supervise the work of the housekeeping and warehouse team to ensure the high standards we set are maintained.
- Ensure staff are aware of all policies and procedures.
- Facilitate staff development through regular one to one discussions and continual review of performance.
- Deal with any people related issues and ensure health and safety processes are followed by all.
- Respond appropriately to remedy any customer request or query that may occur in a way that is acceptable for the situation.
- Be flexible in performing other duties, as and when required, to ensure the smooth running of the organisation and to meet the needs of the business.
