Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our Kitchen Production team. The ideal candidate will have culinary experience in a similar role, and a dedication to delivering exceptional food quality. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The Chef will play a vital role in inspiring the kitchen team to achieve excellence. The role predominately relates to the cooking of sauces, and cooking meat & poultry, and ensuring meals are produced to a high standard.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including New Product Development, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness;
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards
  • Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
  • Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to optimise team performance
  • Monitor food costs and minimise waste through efficient utilisation of ingredients
  • Maintain a positive and professional working environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement

Skills

  • Experience in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques are essential;
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings
