Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced HGV2 Volumetric Concrete Driver and Pump Operator to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate state-of-the-art volumetric concrete mixers and pump systems, delivering high-quality concrete solutions to a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving background, mechanical aptitude, and experience with pump operation, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of concrete materials. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate HGV2 (Heavy Goods Vehicle Class 2) volumetric concrete mixers, ensuring precise delivery of concrete mixes according to project specifications
  • Manage and operate concrete pump systems, coordinating with site teams for smooth placement of materials
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment, identifying mechanical issues and reporting maintenance needs promptly
  • Plan HGV delivery routes efficiently to meet project timelines while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
  • Assist with loading of aggregates, ensuring proper handling and vehicle safety.
  • Communicate effectively / politely with site personnel

Skills

  • Proven experience operating HGV2 volumetric concrete mixers and pump systems in a construction or similar environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle or equipment issues independently
  • Valid commercial driving license (CPC qualification) with a clean driving record
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations related to transportation and construction sites
  • Ability to plan routes efficiently
  • Good communication skills
  • Drivers must be physically fit
