We have a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly department in the heart of beautiful Cornwall.
As the only Cancer Centre for the county of Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, the Sunrise Centre at RCHT provides a full range of cancer treatments for our patients as close to home as possible. We are early adopters of new treatments and have:
To work alongside a consultant colleague in HPB cancers to develop and strengthen treatment opportunities for these patients. This role provides supervisory oversight for the nurse and Oncology Specialty Doctor led NET service.
To take part, promote and develop our extensive and innovative clinical trials portfolio.
To take responsibility for the designated clinical workload including MDT meetings, out-patient clinics, radiotherapy treatment planning and in-patient care.
To develop and promote protocols relating to treatment options for patients
To participate in the on-call rota and develop leadership skills within the department.
To help provide teaching for junior staff and medical students in the department
To comply with all the clinical governance processes and procedures of the Trust
To maintain Continuing Professional Development accreditation as per Royal College of Radiologists or Royal College of Physicians guidelines
To participate in the Trust appraisal programme and GMC revalidation processes.
The Trust supports the requirements for Continuing Medical Education as laid down by the Royal College of Radiologists and is committed to providing time and financial support for these activities.
