Senior Consultant – Healthcare & Life Sciences (AI & Generative AI)
Location: Washington, DC

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to lead AI-driven transformation initiatives within the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry, with a focus on pharmaceutical organizations. This role partners with cross-functional teams and enterprise clients to deliver AI consulting, solution design, program delivery, business growth, and exceptional client experiences across multiple engagements.
The successful candidate will help organizations leverage Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and advanced analytics to solve complex business challenges across Clinical, Research & Development (R&D), Commercial, Real World Data (RWD), and other enterprise functions. This role also contributes to solution development, thought leadership, proposal support, and the growth of AI capabilities within the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multiple client engagements as a billable consultant supporting enterprise healthcare and life sciences organizations.
Deliver AI and Generative AI transformation programs across Clinical, R&D, Commercial, and Real World Data initiatives.
Design and implement AI-driven solutions supporting use cases such as decentralized clinical trials, digital health, patient engagement, line-of-therapy analysis, and other healthcare innovations.
Leverage Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, MLOps, LLMOps, and cloud engineering to deliver scalable production solutions.
Translate complex clinical, research, and business challenges into actionable AI and analytics use cases.
Serve as the liaison between technical delivery teams and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with strategic objectives.
Convert analytical findings and AI model outputs into clear business recommendations, executive presentations, dashboards, and data-driven narratives.
Support integration of AI and analytics into business workflows, CRM platforms, and clinical systems.
Ensure high-quality healthcare and life sciences data is leveraged to improve patient outcomes, clinical operations, trial performance, and business decision-making.
Drive delivery excellence while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction across multiple engagements.
Promote adoption of AI and Generative AI tools to improve delivery efficiency and project outcomes.
Apply structured problem-solving and analytical thinking to complex client challenges.
Lead client meetings, steering committees, and executive discussions while serving as a trusted advisor.
Support proposal development, solution presentations, and business development initiatives.
Collaborate with consulting, data science, engineering, product, design, and delivery teams to build integrated AI solutions.
Develop strategic account plans, contribute to quarterly and monthly business reviews, and identify opportunities for account growth.
Build and maintain long-term executive client relationships while effectively managing stakeholder expectations.
Mentor team members and contribute to capability development across AI, analytics, healthcare, and consulting disciplines.
Continuously develop expertise in emerging AI technologies, healthcare trends, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Life Sciences, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
10+ years of consulting, program delivery, or client-facing experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industries.
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise AI, analytics, or digital transformation programs.
5+ years of hands-on experience delivering Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, or Generative AI solutions.
Experience applying AI technologies across Clinical, R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain, or Real World Data environments.
Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong commercial acumen with excellent storytelling, presentation, and executive communication skills.
Proven ability to translate technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced, complex consulting environments.
Demonstrated expertise in program management, delivery governance, resource management, and client engagement.
Strategic mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and support business development activities.
Experience preparing proposals, executive presentations, and client-facing solution documentation is highly desirable.
Willingness to travel to client locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), MLOps, or LLMOps in production environments.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards, regulatory requirements, and clinical research processes.
Experience with digital health platforms, decentralized clinical trials, patient engagement solutions, or healthcare CRM platforms.
Experience leading enterprise-scale cloud-based AI implementations.
Proven ability to mentor teams and build consulting capabilities.
Strong understanding of healthcare and life sciences business processes, analytics, and digital transformation strategies.
