About the role


Here at Balfour Beatty we are looking for a talented and driven Bid Writer to join our Regional Build team. This is a pivotal role where you will shape compelling, high-quality submissions that win work and showcase our strengths across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Based our of our Canary Wharf office you will be working closely with bid managers, estimators, planners, and operational teams, you will develop clear, persuasive content that aligns with client requirements and highlights our technical excellence, innovation, and commitment to delivering value.


What you'll be doing


As a Bid Writer you will:

  • Producing engaging, accurate, and client-focused written responses for PQQs, ITTs, and tender submissions
  • Translating technical information into clear, concise, and compelling narratives
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather information and develop win themes
  • Editing and proofing content to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance
  • Managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced bid environment
  • Continuously improving content libraries and contributing to best practice across the team.

Who we're looking for


You will have the following:

  • Proven experience in bid writing, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or the built environment
  • Excellent written English with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical information
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A collaborative approach with confidence to challenge and add value
  • Familiarity with public and private sector procurement processes (desirable).
