This is an exciting opportunity for a SEND Team Manager to jointly lead the development of our new Multi-Agency Alternative Education Team. You will support children and young people in Nottinghamshire as they access alternative provision and work towards returning to school. We are looking for a manager who is passionate about inclusion and dedicated to helping vulnerable children attend school, belong, achieve, and thrive in their local communities. This is initially a temporary post for 12 months, with the potential to become permanent. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!

As the SEND Team Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Multi-Agency Alternative Education Team to ensure effective support for children and young people.
  • Collaborating with schools, families, and external agencies to create a seamless support network.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of children in alternative provision.
  • Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and best practices.
  • Developing strategies to promote inclusion and improve educational outcomes.
  • Providing guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in SEND, education, health, or social care.
  • Significant experience in managing teams and leading projects within a multi-agency context.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Proven ability to use data to drive decision-making and improve service delivery.
