The Delphi team deliver an integrated Substance misuse model in Blackburn and Darwen. The Recovery Collaborative is a model of joint working and co-production which will enable and empower people, families and communities affected by substance misuse to address issues of addiction and build a sustainable community of recovery across the borough.

About Our Team

The Delphi team deliver an integrated SMS model in Blackburn and Darwen. The Recovery Collaborative is a model of joint working and co-production which will enable and empower people, families and communities affected by substance misuse to address issues of addiction and build a sustainable community of recovery across the borough. The team have a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience. They are a diverse team creating a culture of wellbeing and togetherness. The team is made up of various roles such as Administrator, Support workers, Recovery Practitioners, Nurses, and Managers. The team is welcoming and supportive and they focus on finding the path that is right for the individual whilst delivering innovative and specialist addiction services.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Recovery Nurse to work within our Spark Recovery Collaborative. We have an exciting opportunity to consider individuals with a drug and alcohol interest to become part of the Nursing Team within the Blackburn with Darwen community.

You will provide high quality nursing care for patients requiring substance misuse services and detox through our programmes and pathways due to the increasing need within our local community. Clients will be empowered to engage in treatment and detox pathways, including home visits, assessments, reduction plans, home detox and referral into Tier 4 provision.

You will be working with a large team of professionals, with your main area of work within the nursing and alongside the Recovery Teams. You will carry out health and well-being assessments within the nursing team.

What We’re Looking For

We believe in recruiting for potential as well as experience. Our ideal candidate will have:

• Registered Nurse with the NMC.
• Have the skills required to act as a professional, registered nurse and adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct.
• Experience of working in and leading a team with appropriate supervision in multidisciplinary services.
• Experience of working in substance misuse service 3 years minimum.
• Resilience and adaptability – this, is a changeable and demanding environment.
• Ability to work effectively and autonomously, managing multiple priorities.
• The ability to lead, motivate and support staff in their role
• Ability to interpret national policy and initiatives.
• Personal and professional credibility to inspire trust and confidence.
• To pass required checks, including DBS
