About the Role

We are looking for a Product Designer with strong Autodesk Fusion and CAD/CAM experience to join our Design Team on an initial 3-month temporary contract, with the potential to extend.

You will work closely with our Design Team to develop detailed designs, produce technical documentation and support projects through to completion. Experience with Autodesk Fusion and CAD/CAM is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and develop technical drawings and design documentation.
  • Create detailed models and designs using Autodesk Fusion.
  • Support the Design Team in delivering projects to programme deadlines.
  • Coordinate design information with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure designs meet relevant regulations, standards and project requirements.
  • Assist with technical problem-solving and design development activities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A qualification in Product Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, CAD/CAM or a related discipline preferred.
  • Proven experience working as a Product Designer, Product Design Engineer, CAD Designer or in a similar technical design position.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Fusion – essential.
  • Proven CAD/CAM experience – essential.
  • Excellent technical drawing, 3D modelling and design skills.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing methods, materials and design for manufacture.
  • Understanding of CNC/CAM processes and how designs translate into manufactured products.
  • Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical and design-related problems.
  • A practical approach to product development, with an understanding of the requirements involved in taking a design from concept through to manufacture.
  • A qualification in Product Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, CAD/CAM or a related discipline would be beneficial, but practical experience and technical ability are highly valued.
