Guardians Recruitment is recruiting bank/agency support workers to pick up shifts as and when needed for our clients across multiple locations.

This role is ideal if you want flexible work that fits around other commitments, with the option to take shifts that suit your availability. This role involves providing compassionate care and supporting vulnerable and complex children/young adults in and out of their home on an adhoc basis.

As a Support Worker, you will be key in helping our young people with everyday living. This is a challenging role, but the rewards are incomparable to any other job. Duties

  • Assist children with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
  • Support children’s emotional, social, and behavioural development through engaging activities
  • Drive children to appointments, activities, or school as required, maintaining safe driving practices
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members to ensure consistent care
  • Use IT systems to update records, track progress, and coordinate care plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a nurturing environment that promotes learning and growth

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is preferred
  • Valid driving licence with clean driving record is desirable
  • Valid enhanced DBS
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
  • Care certificate/relevant training for the role is desirable
