Full job description

Digital Performance Marketing Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the fast-paced and ambitious eCommerce & Marketing team at ITS.

ITS is one of the UK’s leading independent suppliers of power tools, hand tools and trade equipment, with a rapidly growing ecommerce business and ambitious plans for continued growth.

To help drive the next stage of that growth, we are looking for an experienced Digital Performance Marketing Manager to take ownership of our paid digital marketing activity across a wide range of channels.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who loves digital advertising, understands ecommerce and wants to personally manage, optimise and develop high-performing campaigns.

You’ll work across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Display, Affiliates and emerging digital and AI-driven advertising platforms, managing significant budgets and continually identifying opportunities to improve performance, reach new audiences and drive profitable revenue growth.

We’re looking for someone who doesn't simply manage agencies or produce reports. You’ll be comfortable getting into the platforms yourself, building campaigns, managing audiences, adjusting budgets, analysing performance and testing new ideas.

You'll join a collaborative, creative and commercially focused team where new ideas are encouraged and where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the growth of the business.

The Role

You will take day-to-day ownership of ITS's paid digital marketing activity, working closely with our eCommerce, Creative, Content and Web Development teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and optimise Google Ads activity across Shopping, Performance Max, Search, Display, Demand Gen, YouTube and other relevant campaign types.
  • Manage paid social advertising across Meta, Instagram, TikTok and emerging social platforms.
  • Take ownership of campaign structure, targeting, audiences, bidding strategies, budgets and ongoing optimisation.
  • Manage substantial digital advertising budgets, ensuring spend is allocated effectively across channels, brands, products and campaigns.
  • Monitor performance daily and identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve ROAS and maximise profitability.
  • Build and develop audience strategies including prospecting, remarketing, customer segmentation, lookalike audiences and first-party data activation.
  • Work closely with our Creative and Content teams to develop advertising creative, messaging and content specifically designed to improve campaign performance.
  • Monitor competitors, market trends and changes across the digital advertising landscape.
  • Work closely with external partners, agencies and technology providers where appropriate while retaining strong internal ownership of campaign performance.

About You

This role would suit an experienced digital marketer who is comfortable taking genuine ownership of paid media rather than simply coordinating external agencies.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns within an ecommerce or retail environment.
  • Strong experience using Meta Ads Manager.
  • Experience managing significant paid digital advertising budgets.
  • A strong understanding of PPC, Shopping, Performance Max, paid social, remarketing and audience targeting.
  • Experience analysing campaign performance using Google Analytics / GA4.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn large amounts of data into clear actions.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of metrics including ROAS, CPA, CPC, conversion rate, revenue and profitability.
  • Confidence working with product feeds, Merchant Center and ecommerce advertising platforms.
  • A strong understanding of attribution and the differences between platform-reported and analytics-reported performance.
  • A keen interest in ecommerce, digital marketing technology and emerging advertising platforms.
  • The confidence to challenge existing approaches and test new ideas.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities within a fast-moving retail environment.

What We're Looking For

We want someone who is naturally curious about digital marketing.

Someone who sees a new Google Ads feature, Meta campaign type, TikTok advertising format or emerging AI platform and immediately wants to understand how we could use it.

You'll be comfortable balancing creativity with data and combining long-term strategy with the realities of managing campaigns every day.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who wants to do the work.

You'll have the freedom to identify opportunities, build campaigns, test ideas and see the commercial impact of your decisions.

Why Join ITS?

ITS is a rapidly expanding business with ecommerce at the heart of our growth.

Our Marketing and eCommerce teams work closely together across paid media, web development, creative, content, email, social media and technology, meaning you'll have direct access to the people responsible for the entire customer journey.

We move quickly, test new ideas and aren't afraid to experiment with new technology or channels.

For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to take real ownership of digital acquisition within an ambitious ecommerce business and to develop the role considerably as the company continues to grow.

Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday

Location: Harlow, Essex

This is a fully office-based role, allowing you to work closely with and collaborate with other similarly driven, ambitious people in our eCommerce, Marketing, Creative and Content teams.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Employee discount
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
