Exciting Opportunity – Pet Handler at Bell Reed Kennels & Cattery!

Are you passionate about animals and love providing the best care for furry friends? Bell Reed Kennels & Cattery is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Pet Handler to join our growing team and help make every guest’s stay safe, comfortable, and full of fun!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care and attention to dogs and cats, ensuring their health, safety, and happiness
  • Prepare and provide meals according to dietary requirements
  • Assist with grooming, exercise, playtime, and enrichment activities
  • Monitor the wellbeing of pets, noting any changes in behaviour, appetite, or health
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both pets and staff
  • Support the team with any additional tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Speaking to customers, answering telephone calls, and adding bookings to our system.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualification in Animal Care or equivalent is required
  • Previous experience in pet care, kennels, cattery, or a similar setting is an advantage
  • A genuine passion for animals, reliability, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a friendly, professional team

Preferred:

  • Pet First Aid
  • Ofqual-recognised qualification appropriate for the role is highly desirable

Working Days:

  • The role requires regular availability across multiple days each week, including weekends. Working days and hours will be arranged on a rota according to the needs of the business. Specific days of work are not yet fixed at this stage and flexibility is required.

Weekend, bank holiday and peak period availability may be required.
