Business Analyst (Payments) - Fixed Term Contract

The Business Analyst (Payments) sits within the easyJet holidays Strategy and Programmes team, a function that sits at the heart of the business, supporting the delivery of strategic products and driving growth. The team works across the investment portfolio, partnering with stakeholders from across the business to shape and deliver change. This role focuses on payments and checkout capability, covering the introduction and optimisation of payment methods and customer payment journeys.

As our Business Analyst (Payments), you will own the full lifecycle of payments related business requirements, from early discovery through to delivery, working closely with Product Owners, technical teams and external payment partners to keep things moving in the right direction.

You will be responsible for:

Driving the discovery, shaping and delivery of payment-related initiatives, including the introduction of new payment methods such as PayPal, pay-by-link solutions and instalment options, ensuring alignment with customer needs, commercial objectives and technical constraints
Gathering, documenting, analysing and challenging business requirements, covering end-to-end payment flows, checkout journeys and integration requirements with payment service providers, gateways and third-party providers
Working closely with developers and external payment partners to define and document integration requirements, including APIs, tokenisation, fraud checks and authorisation and settlement flows
Acting as the conduit between the Product Owner and the technical implementation team across the product lifecycle
Supporting the continuous optimisation of payment performance, including conversion rates, payment success rates and cost across different payment methods
Ensuring the impact on business processes and systems is considered throughout the change lifecycle
Identifying, reporting and helping to mitigate risk
Building and maintaining a strong understanding of the customer, the market and where opportunities for growth exist

What you'll bring to the team:

At least three years' experience as a Business Analyst, with demonstrable experience in payments, e-commerce checkout or financial transaction systems
Practical knowledge of payment ecosystems, including payment service providers, alternative payment methods, digital wallets and instalment solutions, alongside a solid understanding of authorisation, capture, settlement, refunds and reconciliation
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to conduct detailed discovery, map as-is and to-be processes, carry out gap analysis and document requirements clearly
Experience working in agile methodologies, particularly Behaviour Driven Development, and using tools such as Jira, Confluence and Miro
Experience working with external vendors and partners, including managing requirements across organisational boundaries
Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for both business and technical audiences
Good stakeholder management skills, with experience of working across internal and external teams at varying levels
Travel industry or holidays sector experience is desirable but not essential

What’s in it for you:

In addition to your competitive base salary, we offer an all-inclusive benefits package which includes our company-wide bonus scheme, 7% pension contribution, and private medical insurance. We offer a variety of share options and life assurance, and we have an impressive range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to your needs.

You'll have access to heavily discounted flights for yourself and your loved ones, as well as free easyJet Plus membership, annual holiday vouchers, and a generous annual leave entitlement.

The role is full-time and based at our easyJet holidays HQ near Luton Airport. We operate a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office.
