About the Role As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive safe and timely transport to medical appointments, treatments, or care facilities. Your caring nature and ability to provide reassurance will help create a comfortable and supportive environment for patients, some of whom may be experiencing challenging times.

Working 8-hour shifts PAYE or Self Employed over a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week service, you will need to be adaptable, reliable, and committed to meeting the needs of patients whenever they require assistance. This role offers variety and the opportunity to develop your skills in patient care, communication, and teamwork.

Your Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients with care and dignity.
  • Assist patients with mobility needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during their journey.
  • Work closely with colleagues to respond effectively to patients' needs.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and equipment readiness to ensure the highest standards of care.

What We're Looking For

  • You must be 21 years of age or older
  • Hold a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 1 year
  • Have a driving record with no more than 3 penalty points
  • A compassionate and caring attitude with a commitment to patient welfare.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide a calm presence.
  • Flexibility to work 10-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • A valid Manual driver's license (is required) and the ability to adapt to a dynamic schedule.
  • A willingness to contribute to a supportive and respectful team environment.
