Mobile Emergency Responder
Redcar and Cleveland
Hours: 12.38 hours per week (56 shifts per year) - 53.67 hours per month.

Who are Medequip Connect?
Medequip Connect provide services to over 50,000 people nationwide with the objective of providing reassurance and support to older, disabled or vulnerable people allowing them to remain safely in their own home.
We help to maintain people’s independence by providing Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and a range of associated equipment that gives them the confidence of knowing that assistance is available at any time, 24 hours a day. Our care technology services provide peace of mind to you, your family, and your friends.
About the role
As theMobile Emergency Responder for Medequip Connect, you will be a vital link between our vulnerable clients and the support services they need in all locations within the area. You will work a flexible 24/7 rota, based from home, respond to calls from our clients who activate their alarms. Alarm activations come directly into our contact centre. From there, our operators use the latest technology to allocate the job to the nearest community responder to attend and assess and assist with the situation on site. You will play a crucial role in us completing the analogue to digital switch, installing the most up to date TEC devices available, ensuring our clients remain safe during a time of national change.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Immediately respond to alarm calls assessing the care and support needs of people at risk and providing or facilitating appropriate support
- Installing, maintaining and collecting TEC equipment
- Undertake ‘last resort’ personal care when on a callout should it be required to maintain the client’s dignity
- To assist with the promotion of the service in local communities

Qualifications and experience required.
- Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle
- No specific experience is necessary, only a responsible and caring nature and a flexible approach full training will be provided.
