An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Unit Manager (Community Lead ) to join our nursing residential care services in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.

Our ethos is to be family orientated, professional, hard-working, client-led and fun. A happy atmosphere is promoted by Management, as this adds to the home's environment.

JOB SUMMARY

1. To promote a caring and safe environment for residents through high standards of professional care practice which are conducive to the resident's physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs.

2. To help manage and organise the workload and resources of the Home.

3. To coordinate and improve all the Home’s services to ensure the Home complies with the company.

4. To exercise leadership skills to ensure the Home is well organised and efficient in its use of resources and promote good communication and relationships with residents, families, visitors, staff and outside suppliers.

5. To ensure suitable activities, entertainment and events are organised for residents and are evidenced.

6. To ensure high occupancy levels are maintained by proactively marketing and promoting the Home within the community.

1. To contribute to providing positive care and support to individuals living within a registered care setting in a kind, caring and respectful way that is in accordance with the person’s needs and wishes

2. To clearly demonstrate, at all times, that what you do and how you behave enhances the quality of life of the people who use the service

3. To positively engage with service users and their relatives, other staff members and external professionals and customers at all times

4. To have appropriate documentary evidence of the work that you have carried out in line with the Company’s policies and procedures and expected practice

5. Demonstrate pride in your role at all times, not to tolerate poor practice and speak up to your managers if you are ever concerned about quality standards
