Full job description

Job Overview
The Barn at Upcote is an exclusive use, family-run wedding and events venue situated in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside. We are looking for a Wedding & Events Coordinator to join our small team at The Barn!

We’re looking for the right person, rather than years of experience. Rest assured that full training is provided so we would love to hear from you!

You will be working with couples through all stages of the wedding process – from email enquiries and initial show rounds through to delivering a fantastic event at the venue and returning the site to its original state afterwards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working with the rest of the Barn team to deliver outstanding service to each and every couple/event organiser that comes through our doors
  • Ensuring all wedding & event enquiries are responded to within a 24 hour period
  • Keeping the Barn calendar up to date with viewings, appointments and weddings/events
  • Showing couples (potential and already booked) and event organisers around the venue
  • Creating booking forms for couples/event organisers and maintaining the database of enquiries, event dates and payments
  • Helping couples/event organisers with their wedding/event planning and completing function sheets for weddings and other events
  • Working the event on the day, including assistance to wedding guests and suppliers, and helping the bar team if needed
  • Assisting with the breakdown of the event including moving furniture and collecting event organisers' belongings
  • Assisting with venue maintenance activities where required, including bar stock deliveries, laundry collection, and liaising with farm owners and ground maintenance staff

Skills we're looking for:

  • A passion for weddings & events
  • Excellent attention to detail and a very organised/diligent approach to work
  • A friendly and confident manner with an ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • A smart and professional appearance as well as a calm and reassuring presence, and an ability to deal with all types of clients and their requests
  • A willingness to "roll up their sleeves" and be flexible in their tasks and working hours to ensure the event runs smoothly and the venue is returned to its original state once the event has finished
  • The availability to work weekend shifts
  • Be willing to undertake relevant training courses such as First Aid
  • A full driving license – the venue is located in a remote location not accessible by public transport and therefore having your own transport is essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £23,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

  • Performance bonus

Benefits:

  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Free parking
