Company Overview

Our client supplies Biotech and Clinical markets in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland with reliable and innovative in-vitro diagnostic products from proven global manufacturers. They are currently looking to onboard a life science graduate who has an interest in immunology/ biomedical science to transition into an Inside Sales Specialist role. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to step into a scientific commercial role to drive sales growth within the business, with opportunities to progress internally across sales, technical support, or marketing.

Job Overview

As a Technical Support Specialist, you'll be the go-to expert for customers and internal teams, providing technical expertise gained from studies and lab experience, to deliver top-tier technical support and product knowledge.

You'll be working closely with the Technical Services Manager, handling pre and post-sales, troubleshooting, and delivering training to both customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • First line support for relating to Pre and Post sales enquires.
  • Keeping a log of cases on CRM.
  • Engaging with customers to identify and resolve problems.
  • Manage training materials to provide training to customers on the instruments.
  • Assist Specialists and managers with demonstrations of products, materials and presentations.
  • Engaging with customers face-to-face.
  • Perform annual preventative maintenance once signed off as ready.

Qualifications

  • A Science degree (Biology, Molecular, Micro or similar) plus laboratory experience (Post Degree).
  • Strong technical understanding.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping others.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and confidence using new software systems.

Package

  • Base salary up to £30,000
  • Private Healthcare
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Contributory Pension 7%
  • All business mileage paid for - £0.45p a mile
