Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Python / SQL Developer to join our growing team in London. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python development, SQL databases, data processing, and backend application development. You will work closely with technical and business teams to build scalable solutions, automate processes, and support data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and backend services
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
  • Develop and support ETL processes and data pipelines
  • Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and database-related issues
  • Analyze large datasets and automate reporting processes
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and best development practices

Required Skills

✔ Strong hands-on experience in Python development

✔ Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and database performance tuning

✔ Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle

✔ Knowledge of data processing, ETL development, and database design

✔ Experience with APIs and system integrations

✔ Familiarity with Git/version control systems

✔ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities

✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

➕ Experience with Pandas, NumPy, or data analysis libraries
