We’re proud to be part of Pennon Group, a leader in the UK water sector, working towards a greener future. Our goals? As well as lowering our carbon footprint, we’re working with partners to plant 300,000 trees, restore peatlands and supporting farmers and landowners to improve water quality and wildlife.

Whether you’re starting out or seeking a new challenge, our scale and ambition create opportunities for you to shape your own career.

Ready to make a splash? Join our team today.

Join our Wastewater Services team as a Planning & Scheduling Data Analyst, where you’ll transform complex data into actionable insights that drive smarter decisions and improve service reliability.

You’ll bring together data from across operations, field activity, and customer interactions to identify risks, optimise resources, and enhance end‑to‑end performance. This is a key role in strengthening planning, improving customer experience, and boosting the efficiency and resilience of our wastewater services

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver integrated performance reports and dashboards that provide clear insight into planning, scheduling efficiency, operational flow, and customer impact.

  • Translate complex data into accessible, actionable intelligence for operational, planning, and leadership teams.

  • Analyse cross‑functional, operational, and field performance data to identify trends, constraints, systemic issues, and improvement opportunities.

  • Highlight emerging risks and performance bottlenecks across the wastewater service and customer journey

  • Support evidence‑based continuous improvement initiatives across Planning, Operations, and Customer teams.

  • Develop forecasting models and predictive analytics to support strategic planning, demand management, and resource optimisation.

  • Provide insight that supports proactive risk anticipation and scenario planning across operational and customer pathways.

  • Work collaboratively with Planning & Scheduling, Operations, Customer Services, and Project teams to ensure insights inform decision‑making at all levels.

  • Act as a trusted data partner, ensuring insight is aligned to operational realities and business priorities.

  • Improve data quality, structure, and consistency across systems, workflows, and reporting tools.

  • Enable a reliable, end‑to‑end data view of customer journeys, operational processes, and field performance.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in a data, performance, or planning analytics role within an operational or service delivery environment (e.g. utilities, infrastructure, transport, engineering).

  • Strong experience working with complex, multi-source datasets to generate clear and meaningful performance insights.

  • Ability to develop reports, dashboards, and management information that support planning, scheduling, and operational decision-making.

  • Experience analysing end-to-end service or customer journeys to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Knowledge of forecasting, trend analysis, or predictive techniques to support capacity planning and resource optimisation.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with operational and customer-facing teams to turn data into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience improving data quality, consistency, and governance across systems and reporting processes.

What's in it for you:

  • Generous holiday allowance with the ability to buy and sell annual leave for added flexibility.

  • Competitive company pension scheme.

  • Training and development within the role.

  • Access to thousands of discounts and vouchers through Pennon Perks.

  • 24/7 support with our Employee Assistance Programme.

  • Discretionary bonus.

  • Cycle to work scheme.

  • And more!
