Full job description

About IMPAKT Housing & Support

IMPAKT Housing & Support has been providing homes and support to people with complex needs since 1991. We are a Registered Social Landlord, registered charity, and Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) provider, and we take all three seriously. We directly house over 400 people across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Northamptonshire who have experienced homelessness, domestic abuse, or trauma, and we work hard every day to make sure that a home with IMPAKT is the stable foundation from which people can rebuild their lives.

Beyond our directly managed provision, we deliver domestic abuse outreach services across the East of England, operate a community food larder, and run social enterprise retail stores. We are also developing a growing partnership housing model, working alongside specialist third-sector organisations across the Southwest, Kent, and North and South Yorkshire to extend our reach.

Our approach is rooted in trauma-informed, psychologically informed practice. We believe that understanding what has happened to someone, rather than focusing solely on their presenting behaviour, is the key to supporting lasting change. It shapes how we design our services, how we train our staff, and how we show up for the people we support every single day.

We are a registered provider and charity, and we take our responsibilities seriously. We maintain high occupancy, low rent arrears, and strong governance standards because sustainable, well-run services are how we protect the people who depend on us.

We look for staff who are genuinely motivated by making a difference, people who will go the extra mile not because they are told to, but because they care. In return, we offer a competitive remuneration package, real investment in your development, and a working environment where your contribution to ending homelessness is recognised and valued.

Job Purpose: The Marketing and Creative Co-ordinator will bring creative energy and professional polish to everything IMPAKT puts its name to. Through high-quality design, branded materials and internal communications, they will help ensure that how we look and sound genuinely reflects the organisation we are, supporting our mission to reach and help more people across the communities we serve.

This is a role for someone who cares about the world and is excited by the work we do. We want someone who will bring their own ideas, take real ownership of their outputs, and understand that good design is not just about aesthetics but about conveying who IMPAKT is and advancing what we are here to do.

Our Values:

  • Aspirational - We believe everyone can be the best they can be and dream big dreams.
  • Caring - We believe everyone should be cared for.
  • Empowering - We believe we should support and encourage people to take ownership of their lives to enable them to achieve positive change.

SCHEDULE:

This is an in-person role in Bedford, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9AM-5PM.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, produce and maintain a wide range of branded materials including signage, posters, banners, flyers, leaflets, booklets and documents, ensuring consistency with IMPAKT's visual identity across all outputs.
  • Plan, design, and produce the organisation's internal newsletter using Adobe InDesign, from initial layout through to finished publication.
  • Assist the Head of Brand, Marketing & Communications to build and maintain a SharePoint-based staff intranet, providing a well-organised and engaging internal communications hub for the whole organisation.
  • Work with the marketing and fundraising team on email marketing, designing and delivering campaigns that communicate effectively with donors, partners, corporate supporters and other stakeholders.
  • Design and produce branded merchandise that represents IMPAKT professionally and creatively.
  • Create designed and branded presentation materials that support the wider team in communicating with external partners, corporate businesses and funders.
  • Assist the Social Media and Content Assistant in producing engaging social media content, contributing creative ideas and design assets that support the organisation's online presence.

  • Be flexible to the changing needs of the organisation and its service users.
  • Abide by the organisation's staff working policies and procedures.
  • Promote the aims, purposes, mission and services delivered by the organisation.
  • In addition to the duties set out in this job description, the post holder may at times be required to undertake additional or other duties to meet the needs of the organisations

  • A portfolio of print and digital design work demonstrating range and quality
