Role: Chef de Partie
Location: Falkland Islands

Employer: Hotel

Salary / Rate of pay: £35000

Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a unique hotel in the Falkland Islands (just off South America) who are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to assist their new Head Chef and help them with their busy summer season which starts NOW!

Why choose our Client?

Well for one thing, you won't find another job like this in virtually anywhere else on the planet! On top of this, you will be joining a company that understands that you will be travelling a long way to work for them and they want to make your time with them as enjoyable as possible.

This company runs the busiest operation in town and has had a lot of investment on recent years including a new kitchen only a couple of years ago as well as a 55 seat cinema on site that is available for staff use.

The accommodation is a shared house near the hotel and is free of charge.

Despite it's location, there are never many issues getting orders delivered with regular flights and cargo ships arriving from the UK and Chile.

The Summer Season brings tourists and cruise ships to the island and as the main eating spot in town you will be really busy

What's involved?
As Chef de Partie you will be bringing some much needed support following some internal promotions and will therefore need to know your way around the kitchen, cooking fresh food on a daily basis in a variety of styles.

Because it is the main hotel and restaurant, the kitchen likes to keep a wide range of dishes in their repertoire and as Chef de Partie you will be open to showing off your ability while at the same time learning dishes from around the world.

Ideally you will be used to working away from home for extended periods and be happy to relocate to the South Atlantic for 9 months or so.
