Salary: £50,000–£60,000 per year

Additional London Living Allowance for candidates living within 90 minutes of central London

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer / Sprinkler Service Engineer preferably with previous hands‑on water mist system experience to join our UK Service Team.

This field-based role involves travelling to customer sites across the UK and Ireland to carry out servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of high‑pressure water mist systems. You will be required to visit our UK office for training.

Please note:

- Overtime, on‑call duty, and out‑of‑hours call-outs are part of the role and receive additional remuneration at enhanced rates.

- Travel is required, but overnight stays are limited and only required when essential.

- All travel and accommodation costs are fully covered by the company.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service visits on HI‑FOG® high‑pressure water mist systems

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults

- Restore systems to full operational capability

- Support installation and commissioning teams when required

- Complete clear, accurate service and repair reports

- Provide technical guidance and solutions to customers

- Work safely and comply with all relevant fire and safety regulations

- Work on a variety of system components, including high-pressure pumps, section valves, solenoid valves, detection interfaces and detection alarms and interfaces

- Participate in the on‑call rota (paid), supporting customers with out‑of‑hours requirements

What We’re Looking For

Essential

- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills

- Experience with piping, hydraulic systems.

- Experience and understanding of Fire Alarm Systems

- Background in fire suppression (sprinklers, water mist, or gaseous systems)

- Strong problem-solving mindset with good customer communication

- Full UK driving licence

- Ability to work independently and within a team

- Willingness to travel, with limited overnight stays

- Willingness to support on‑call and out‑of‑hours work (paid)

Desirable

- Proven experience with water mist systems

- Experience with water mist, fire detection, or gaseous systems

- Electrical/automation understanding

-Trade skills/ qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, Bafsa, FIA etc)

- CSCS card (support provided if required)

- Experience with single phase power and 3‑phase motors – highly desirable

- Experience with fire alarms/detection and suppression systems

Typical Week (Example)

- 5 planned service visits

- Completion of service reports and customer updates

- Participation in the on‑call rota on agreed weeks

- Travel within assigned region (overnights only when essential)

Tools, Vehicle & Equipment

- Dedicated company van

- Fuel card

- Mobile phone or tablet

- All required specialist tools provided

- PPE and safety equipment supplied

- Option for additional tooling support where needed

- Access to remote technical support and clear escalation routes, ensuring engineers are never without guidance when needed
